Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores has opened its newest travel stop in Premont, Texas, and reopened remodeled locations in Waco, Georgia; Lordsburg, New Mexico; Greenville, Illinois; Conneaut, Ohio; Walters, Oklahoma; and Baxter, Tennessee. 

The renovations are part of its Road Ahead Plan. At the start of 2026, the travel center chain said it would build 20 new stores this year and remodel 35 more. 

  • Love’s Travel Stops is No. 14 on CSP’s 2026 Top 202 ranking of convenience-store chains by U.S. store count. 

Love’s new Premont travel stop (pictured) is located at 511 NE 8th St., along U.S. Route 281. The site is 12,748 square feet, has 59 truck parking spaces and 43 car parking spaces. Also on site is a Godfather’s Pizza, showers, laundry facilities, CAT Scale, RV hookups, a dog park and self-checkout options. 

In honor of the grand opening, Love’s said it will donate $2,500 to the Premont Fire Department, $2,500 to Premont Collegiate High School and $5,000 to Driscoll Children’s Hospital. District managers also work with nonprofits in their areas to make donations through community grants on an annual basis. 

Love’s modernizes stores in 6 states

The remodeled stores in Georgia, Illinois, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma and Tennessee have updated sites designed to improve traffic flow and elevate the overall shopping experience, Love’s said. 

Love’s donated a total of $30,000 to the local Children Miracle Network hospitals that serve each community.

Oklahoma City-based Love’s has 679 travel centers and convenience stores in 42 states.
